There were tea parties on April 15th again this year all over the country! This time, unlike last year, there has been press coverage both before and after the events. A lot of the coverage has been like what I heard on both CBS and NBC this morning, suggesting the tea partiers are nuts and/or dangerous.
Gary Varvel's tax day cartoon compares this media perception/spin with the reality:
Eric Allie's from a week or so before, too:
This makes me think of what I heard on radio station KKOB last Thursday evening from one of the founders of the Albuquerque Tea Party organization, quoting/paraphrasing Gandhi:
First they ignore you.
Then they ridicule you.
Then they fight you.
Then you win.
